It is our pleasure to invite you to attend the 13th Annual Conference of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors ( IAIS ), to be hosted by China Insurance Regulatory Commission ( CIRC ) in Beijing on 18-21 October 2006.
The CIRC , established on November 18, 1998 , is authorized by the Chinese State Council to conduct administration, supervision and regulation of the Chinese insurance market.As a sunrise industry, the Chinese insurance business has been prospering over the last ten years at an impressive average annual growth rate of over 20%, in a booming national economy and an increasingly harmonious and well-off society. The CIRC will continue its relentless efforts to foster the development of the market with great care, encourage reforms and innovations, and push ahead with further opening up of the industry to the outside world.
